Zink's Nite Owl  by David Rearick

©David Rearick, Game Hogg Hunt ClubTM

Zink just introduced their newest call to the line-up, the signature series Nite Owl by Shane Hendershot. Having had time to get one in my hand and mess around with it before the season, I can assure it is top quality in all facets. It produces owl hoot series with ease, and offers a great pitch/tone that is sure to make any old limb hanger hammer in the morning. Testing it over the past few weeks, I found that with little effort, I could easily make the various hotting series I wanted and by trying different hand positions and back pressures, I could change the overall tone of the call making it either deeper or higher pitched. In hand, it feels very similar to a Zink SR-1, and is definitely a familiar feel for all waterfowl hunters. My two year old son even picked up the call the other day, and in no time with a little instruction from dad, he was ready to head out into the field and helps his old man roost some thunder chickens. Overall, and simply put, it boasts the same quality I have come to expect from Zink Calls, and offers the hunter another great call to use in the field.
